Pool and Spa Expo 2013

The 2013 Pool and Spa Expo will be taking place at the NEC Birmingham Thursday 24th - Saturday 26th January. Thursday and Friday are trade only days and Saturday 26th is Consumer Day for the public, although trade visitors are welcome on that day as well. Register online now for free tickets.
The event covers pools, spas, jacuzzi, saunas, hot tubs and swim spas, as well as water treatments, and features seminars, a new product zone and the latest technology. Also, The National Pool and Spa Awards will be presented on Friday 25th . See the event website for more info.

Watch episode 6 of the Young Apprentice on Thursday 6th December BBC 1 8.00pm - 9.00pm to see how the teenage entrepreneurs cope with the challenge of branding hairstyling products. The hopefuls must shoot adverts and pitch their ideas to industry.
 

BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2012

The shortlist for this year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year has just been announced. It's a pretty hard task this Olympic year to pick one winner from such an impressive list of possible contenders for the title. Viewers will be able to vote by telephone on the night of the event, Sunday 16th December , but you can cast your vote for your favourite nominee in the Radio Times poll now.

You can catch up on a documentary following  Bradley Wiggins through 2012 when he became the first Briton to win the Tour de France, as well as capturing gold in the time trial at the London Olympic Games, on Sky Atlantic Repeat today 11pm - 12.30am. So if you'd like an insight into what it takes to be a Tour de France and an Olympic champion, this will be worth watching.

The Clothes Show Live 2012

Tickets are available now for The Clothes Show Live 2012, which will be taking place at the NEC, Birmingham 7th - 11th December. JLS will be performing their DJ set on Monday 10th December only. The 2012 British Fashion Awards will be taking place on Tuesday 27th November at The Savoy Hotel, in London. This year's event will be hosted by Lauren Laverne and Nick Grimshaw. The awards celebrate the contributions of British designers, creatives and models to the international fashion scene. 'Britain's Best' is a new hairdressing event taking place on Sunday 18th November at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham. It is a new interactive artistic and style competition designed to find "Britain’s Best” stylists, barbers and salon owners, as well as celebrate the work of many otherwise unsung contributors to the trade.There are floor competitions in the following categories, (the closing date for these is tomorrow, 9th November).

• Ladies Fashion (senior and junior)
• Gents Fashion (senior and junior)
• Newcomer
• Bridal
• Colour of the Day
