Free copies of the new Spring 2013 issue of the nail newspaper, The Nail File, are now available at Richmond House Library counter. You can also download an electronic copy of back issues of The Nail File, plus the March 2013 issue of Guild News and back issues of Irish Beauty at the Beauty Serve website.

Hair and Beauty UK Event

Taking place at the NEC Birmingham on Sunday 19th and Monday 20th May will be the Hair UK, Beauty UK, Holistic Health UK and Aesthetics UK event. There is free entry for final year students, but please note that due to the high level of attendance expected no under 16s, including babies and children, will be admitted to this event. Dressing Long Hair E-books

You can now access the e-book of Dressing Long Hair Book 1, Book 2 and Book 4 via the Athens Resources list. Book 1 and Book 2 can be accessed through the Dawson Books database and Book 4 through the Ebrary database.

IMATS London 2013

The IMATS (International Make-Up Artist Trade Show) London 2013 event will be taking place on 22nd-23rd June. Special make-up effects artist Neill Gorton will be one of the keynote speakers.  Lisa Westcott and Julie Dartnell, recent Oscar winners for Les Miserables, will also be keynote speakers at IMATS London. Human Kinetic Online Journals

Here's a reminder that access to Human Kinetic journals is now available through the Athens list of resources. Just scroll down the list of Athens resources until you see Human Kinetics and make a note of the login and password (it's easy to remember for the next time you need it). Then click on the link and the 'sign in' at the top of the Human Kinetics page, enter the login and password and you will have access to the full text articles. Kick it Out Campaign

Kick It Out works throughout the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and work for positive change. The Raise Your Game Mentoring and Leadership Conference, an insight into working in football, is taking place in London on Wednesday 10th April. For more details see the Kick it Out site.

Loan copies of Lippicott's Concise Illustrated Anatomy: Vol. 2, Thorax, Abdomen and Pelvis, Panksky and Painted Alive: The Fine art of Bodypainting, Tracy, are now available.

Sports Medicine Journal

Following a recent student query, here is a reminder that you have online access to the Sports Medicine journal. You will find access to Sports Medicine by going to the Athens list of resources, selecting the Adis Online database and scrolling down the Adis page until you see 'Sports Medicine'. Please note that although there is a list of other journals on the Adis Online database, Sports Medicine is the only full text journal available.
