Complementary Therapy and Sports Injuries
You are probably using journals recommended on module reading lists and accessing online articles from other publications via Athens, but have you thought of looking to see whether other titles that we stock might be of use? 'Reading round the subject area' can provide you with useful information to help with your assignments. We currently subscribe to Positive Health Magazine which is a leading UK complementary health magazine, and you can find a print copy in the journal area at both Summer Row and Richmond House.
If you are a student on the Salon Management (Complementary Therapy) course you may already be aware of this magazine and expect to find plenty to interest you, but those studying Sports Therapy might not realise that Positive Health can be a useful addition to their reading. One article that you might find interesting is Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT) for Sports Injuries and this can be found on page 48 of the April 2007 issue.
Have a look through a Library copy or view the online version of Positive Health and see what else is of interest. To gain full access to the articles archive and other research information you will need to register and obtain a password, but this is a quick and easy process.
