In-Store Spa launches at Alliance Boots

A new spa concept is being trialled by the health and beauty group Alliance Boots at Boots in Kingston, Surrey. This is a new in-store spa and is called UR Beautiful. A further 20 spas are planned and will be operated within the UK-based Boots health, beauty and pharmacy outlets.

SPATEX 2008- The Pool Show

Spatex is an annual exhibition for those involved with pools, saunas and hot tubs. It will be taking place at the Hilton Brighton Metropole Exhibition Centre, Brighton, February 3-5 2008. There will be free workshops and demos, plus exhibitors from industry suppliers.
You can get free entry to the show by completing the online non-trade registration form, but if you pay on the door it will cost £20.00 for an adult ticket.

Aesthetic Medicine 2008

If you are interested in aesthetic medicine, leaning towards the medical side of the beauty industry and including things like plastic surgery, dermal fillers and advanced skin peeling (probably not something you will be attempting during your time at UCB!) you may find this exhibition worth visiting. Aesthetic Medicine 2008 will be held at Olympia, London 9-10 February 2008.

Fitness Forum Expo
The Multitrax Fitness Forum Expo 2008 takes place at ExCel, London 1-3 March 2008. It is a trade show specifically designed for the Health and Fitness Industry, and will have over 70 exhibitors. There will also be demonstrations, displaying a wide range of fitness disciplines, for the duration of the show.

We have just added the new 3rd edition of The Complete Guide to Sports Massage by Tim Paine to the reading list for Sports Massage. Copies are available at Richmond House Library if you would like to take one out on loan.
