30 Days of Fashion & Beauty
There are plenty of things to see and do during the 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty 2009 event, which begins on Tuesday 1 September and finishes on 30 September. Many of the live events take place in London, but there will also be discounts and competitions to enter, so it's worth having a look at the 30 Days of Fashion website.

British Beauty and Spa Awards 2009
The 2009 British Beauty and Spa Awards will take place on Sunday September 6 at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. See the Hairdressers Journal Interactive (HJI) site for details of this event.

BASES Annual Conference 2009
The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) Annual Conference will be taking place Tuesday 1-Thursday 3 September 2009, at Leeds Metropolitan University. See the BASES site for details.

Olympia Beauty 2009

The Olympia Beauty show takes place on Sunday 20th and Monday 21st September at the Grand Hall, Olympia, London. This event is open only to trade and professional visitors over the age of 16 and you can register before the 18th September 2009 for FREE entrance by clicking on the 'Order tickets now' link on the show website.

Self-issue System

Any current students returning in September will notice something different when taking books out on loan. We now have a new Library self-service kiosk system in operation at both Summer Row and Richmond House.

Follow the instructions on the screen of the self- service kiosk to issue or return items. If you have any fines exceeding £10 you cannot borrow any more items. Your fines will need to be cleared before you can issue any books, and you can pay your fines by pressing the pay fines button on the self service kiosk.

You will need your College ID card and pin number in order to be able to borrow or return books, and also to pay fines.

Professional Beauty Manchester

Registration is now open for the Professional Beauty Manchester event, taking place on Sunday 11th and Monday 12th October. See the show website link for details.
