Positive Health Online

The March 2012 issue of Positive Health Online (which is on several reading lists) is now available. The publication includes commissioned articles, clinical case studies, research updates, book reviews, letters, and links spanning the entire spectrum of natural health. The 84th Academy Awards (OSCARS)

The 84th Academy Awards, usually known as 'The Oscars', will be taking place on Sunday 26th February 2012. To see this year's nominations, (makeup, visual effects and costume design will probably be of interest) and read all the other Oscar news, visit the Oscars.org website or the Oscar.go.org website.

The current digital edition of the Spa Business Handbook, is now available from the Spa Business.com website. The Handbook has plenty of useful information, such as events listings, latest industry trends, spa research and info about top professionals in the global spa industry, so is well worth a read.

New Sports Therapy book at Richmond House

Loan copies of Macleod's Clinical Examination, Douglas, are now available. There is a bonus DVD that accompanies this book that contains specially-recorded videos demonstrating many of the clinical examination routines as they are described in the main text. The 2012 BAFTA Film Awards

The 2012 The Orange British Academy Film Awards took place yesterday, at London's Royal Opera House. See the BAFTA website for all the event information, including winner interviews, but here are the awards of interest.
The Make Up and Hair award went to THE IRON LADY - Mark Coulier, J. Roy Helland, Marese Langan. THE ARTIST - Mark Bridges took the award for Costume Design and Special Visual Effects winner was HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS – PART 2 - Tim Burke, John Richardson, Greg Butler, David Vickery

The New Improved Library Portal on UCB Online

If you are looking for details about Library services you can now access these via the Library link on UCB Online from the Library home page. You can also search both the Library Catalogue and Summon from the search box provided, and find links to useful sites on the Web. If you currently use the Online Catalogue to access information you can click on the 'Library Information' tab at the top of the catalogue homepage which will take you to the Library portal page.

Online Resource for the Orthopedic Community

Although it is primarily aimed at orthopedic surgeons and researchers, a new online knowledge hub may be of interest to anyone studying on the sports therapy course. UCB Online 'My News'

Did you know that you don't need to check this blog to see the latest blog feeds? If you are logged in to UCB Online then you can click on the 'My News' tab which will then give you the option of seeing the latest blog posts for each school - in this case the 'Sports Therapy & Salon Management News'. Simply click on the post you are interested in and it will display on the screen.

Click on the Student Therapist Online tab, at the top centre of the homepage to see what's available.
