Camexpo 2014

Camexpo is the only dedicated event for the complementary, natural and integrated healthcare sector in the UK. New for 2014, is the Business Clinic, in partnership with Holistic Therapist Magazine.There will be small, focused sessions looking at the latest challenges affecting businesses within the natural and integrated health sector. The event will be taking place on Saturday 4th October and Sunday 5th October at Olympia in London.

Afro Hair & Beauty Live

Afro Hair and Beauty Live 2014 will be taking place in London, at the Business Design Centre, on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May (Spring Bank Holiday Monday). The event will feature stage shows, seminars/workshops, competitions and exhibitors. If you book in advance online you will save £2, paying £10.00 instead of £12.00 on the door.

BeautyUK, HairUK, NailsUK & Holistic Health Show 2014

Visit the NEC on Sunday 18th or Monday 19th May to see the BeautyUK trade show, taking place alongside NailsUK, HairUK,and Holistic Health. This is a trade-only event open to Salon Owners and Managers, Qualified Hairdressers and Barbers, Therapists, Nail Technicians, College Buyers, Educators and Final Year Students. You can get a free entry ticket to see all four shows when you register in advance, saving you the price of a student ticket which will be £10 on the day. New for 2014, is the National Make-up Artist Awards, which is supported by the National Association of Screen Make-up Artists and Hairdressers (NASMAH), and is taking place as part of BeautyUK on Monday 19th May. The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier

A new fashion exhibition has just started at the Barbican in London. The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk will be running until the 25th August 2014 and student tickets cost £9.00. Masterclass in Art and Nail Design

There is a Sam Biddle  roadshow nail masterclass taking place this Sunday, 13th April, 10am- 4pm in Birmingham at The Holiday Inn, Smallbrook Queensway. The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014

The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014 exhibition will be taking place from 5th April - 27th July 2014 at the Victoria and Albert Museum, (V&A), in London. The exhibition will be a comprehensive look at Italian Fashion from the end of the Second World War to the present day. The story will be explored through the key individuals and organisations that have contributed to Italy's reputation for quality and style. New Sports Therapy Journal

A new Sports Therapy journal, the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine, is now available
through the E-Resources link on the Library portal page, and the Ovid Online database.
This journal publishes original research and reviews covering diagnostics, therapeutics, and rehabilitation in healthy and physically challenged individuals of all ages and levels of sport and exercise participation. If you click on the blue 'Journals' link on the Ovid database, you will see this journal at the top of the list. You can access articles from January 2000 up to the current issue, March 2014.
