Good news about off campus access to Costume (the Journal of The Costume Society) which was already available on campus from this link. Access is now available off campus and will be included in any USearch results.For anyone who didn't read the previous post, Costume is a scholarly, refereed publication presenting current
research into historic and contemporary dress. The journal publishes articles
from a broad chronological period and with a worldwide remit; it maintains a
balance between practice and theory and concentrates on the social significance
of dress. The journal also includes reviews and listings of new books, journal
articles and exhibitions.

The Oscars 2015
The 2015 Oscar results have now been declared! In a repeat of the BAFTA awards earlier this month, The Grand Budapest Hotel has received the Oscar for Makeup and Hairstyling, (Frances Hannon and Mark Coulier), and also Costume Design (Milena Canonero). If you haven't already seen this film it looks like this will be worthwhile for those of you on the Specialist Hair and Media Make-up programme, to pick up some useful tips.
The Visual Effects Oscar went to Interstellar, (Paul Franklin, Andrew Lockley, Ian Hunter and Scott Fisher). See the official Oscar website for lots more Oscars 2015 related information.Unfortunately, the videos can't be seen outside the US, but still worth having a look for other info.
