Free copies of the new Spring 2012 issue of the nail newspaper, The Nail File, are now available at Richmond House Library counter. You can also download an electronic copy of back issues of The Nail File (current online issue Autumn 2011) plus the April 2012 issue of Guild News, and back issues of Irish Beauty and Tanning World at the Beauty Serve website.

TV Programmes of Interest for Theatrical Hair, Make-Up & Special Effects

On television this Sunday, 25th March, and of interest for theatrical hair, make-up, and special effects, is the new series, Titanic, starting at 9pm on ITV1, and the film Avatar, showing on Channel 4 at 5.50pm.

Presentation, Imaging and Treatment of Common Musculoskeletal Conditions

There is now a copy of Presentation, Imaging and Treatment of Common Musculoskeletal Conditions: MRI arthroscopy Correlation at Richmond House Library and Summer Row Library. This title is on three Sports Therapy module reading lists, so you'll probably find it useful to look though a copy and watch the accompanying case-based DVD that illustrates pathology and repair, with side-by-side comparisons of MRI and arthroscopic findings in the same patient.

New to the Library, are loan copies of Customer Experience: Emerging Trends and New Insights, Shaw, and the 5th edition of Delivering Knock Your Socks Off Service, Zemke. Both of these titles are also available online as an ebook through Dawson Books via Athens.

New Series of The Apprentice

The new series of The Apprentice starts next week, and one of the candidates is a beauty salon owner from Lancashire. If you want to observe how this candidate and all the others deal with the first challenge set them you can see the first programme of the series on Wednesday 21st March at 9.00pm on BBC1.
